I'm Manju , the person behind the recipes and photographs on this blog.

I'm from the the most beautiful southern state of India, Kerala 'God's own country'. Currently residing in the US with the man of my dreams, Manish and our sweet little newborn 1 1.5 years old baby boy Manav (man he's growing fast) :-)

Manish is my inspiration behind this blog and also co-designer :-)
He has always been telling me to start a food blog because I'm a total foodie (we both are) and we love trying different cuisines.
I've had this craze of taking snaps of the dishes we eat from restaurants, later on I started taking snaps of the dishes I make! I just love seeing them later on and reminisce the memories around the dish.

Anyways , I realized my hidden talent (you can say!!) in Cooking only after my marriage ( as how most girls do I guess , unless otherwise) , as I never had to cook at home with my Mom being the perfect Mom and having stayed at Hostels while studying, where food is always served Right on Time!!
I guess it was Beginners luck or something, everything I made , my husband loved it. I thought he was being too nice, so I started calling friends over, and they too liked my food, so then I knew it, I was not that bad for a first time cook.
From then on, I have always used my free time and weekends to cook up new recipes and share with friends or enjoy it ourselves :-)

My greatest gift is a collection of my Mom's simple everyday Keralite home recipes which she hand wrote for me and gave me after our wedding. I want to share each and every recipe of hers with you and many more.

I'm not a professional photographer and have no much knowledge on it either, but I'm learning and will soon get better...I used to take my snaps with my Nikon CoolPix S520.
My adorable husband presented me with a Canon Rebel T3i for our Wedding Anniversary this year(2011). I will henceforth be posting pictures of my recipes taken from my new camera which I am still learning how to handle :-) (Updated Dec 26th, 2011)
